  • Adjustable height

What Is Flexispot?

Flexispot is a company and brand that produces a wide variety of adjustable desks for pretty much every use and profession. While they do produce a couple of simple desks with a fixed height, most desks from Flexispot feature an electronic motor that lets you adjust the height of the desk for your own needs and even turn it into a standing desk.

Flexispot desks can also be customized to fit your specific needs, from drawers, monitor mounts, keyboard holders, and basically anything else you’d want a desk to do. Variety and customization are Flexispot’s biggest strengths and they are the chosen desk providers for such companies as Google, Nasa, Disney, Buzzfeed, Starbucks, and much more.

Features

The sheer amount of customization options from flexispot is, in my opinion, they’re greatest strength. As I stated before, you can pretty much get a desk that would fit any job or task you would need a desk for, from regular office work to sewing to even gaming.

The desks from the Build your own series include customization options for the desktop material, height range, and frame color, along with paid extras like monitor mounts and wheels. Other premade desks specifically for drafting, sewing, music producing, etc. are also available with plenty of extra features.

Most Flexispot desks come with an electric motor that adjusts the height of the desktop. This lets you get the right height for you and can even convert the desk into a standing desk. This feature is operated via a small control panel under the desk with buttons to lower and raise the desktop.

How Can You Use Flexispot Desks? / Who Is This For?

Flexispot desks are ordered from the official website or from a partner retailer and are assembled in your home, office, studio, or wherever else you want to put a desk. They can be used like a standard desk for office purposes or as a specialty desk for drafting, sewing, crafting, gaming, and so much more.

The sheer amount of variety and customization options available from Flexispot make the brand a good choice for pretty much anyone who wants a decent desk. I myself do a lot of crafting and gaming, so I’d imagine that I would get a lot of use out of one of these desks for that purpose.

Web Infrastructure / Branding

While I do like a lot of aspects of Flexispot, I believe the official website leaves a lot to be desired. First of all, a few seconds after accessing the homepage, I was met with yet another promotional pop up asking me if I’d like to join some newsletter or a limited time discount. I never like these pop ups as they provide an unnecessary roadblock to casual visitors of the site.

The site also didn’t run great, slowing down frequently, I imagine, due to an abundance of videos and interactive elements embedded into the page. The homepage also played some very loud stock music which surprised me everytime it happened. The site definitely doesn’t need anything like this.

I also found more than a few errors in the construction of the site, like links that didn’t load or work at all, and a lot of grammar mistakes. I even managed to capture both of these issues in a single screenshot.

Normally, I don’t cover a company’s website as extensively as I am now, but the Flexispot website’s blatant shortcomings make it necessary. There’s a lot of issues with this site, and being a brand that heavily advertises online, this is something that needs to be fixed soon.

Aside from the problems with the site, branding I think does a good job. It’s simple yet effective with a color scheme that really catches the eye. The images of the desks themselves are also really good, highlighting the sheer amount of variety and customization available from this company.

Should You Buy It

You can get a cheap desk from pretty much anywhere, there’s even one at my local grocery store for about $20 that I’ve been eying for more than a few days. But if you want a really nice desk that’s adjustable and customizable to your needs, I think Flexispot is a good place to look.

Though I’ve got a lot of issues with the official site, I still think it’s worth looking at to get the right desk for your specific needs.

Where to Buy

If you want a custom desk from Flexispot, the best place to look is still the official site. If you’re fine with a premade desk, however, I would recommend getting one from another retailer, like Amazon, since the Flexispot site has so many issues.

Competition

Ikea is a brand I think most of us are familiar with. The Swedish company produces a wide range of build-it-yourself furniture, including several desks.

While you won’t get the motorized adjustable desktop or as many customization options as Flexispot, you can still get a quality desk at a much cheaper price. It should be noted, however, that Ikea furniture is not known for lasting too long under normal wear and tear, but many pieces will still get the job done.

If you still really want an adjustable standing desk, another good option is FEZiBO. FEZiBO produces similar desks that run a little cheaper than those from Flexispot, though with not nearly as many customization options.

In addition to electric adjustable desks, FEZiBO also has a hand crank option that’s even cheaper and all desks look spectacular with several options for desktop finishes.

Final Thoughts

Flexispot definitely needs to go through a major overhaul when it comes to their website, but the desks themselves are some of the best you can get. The adjustability makes it possible to turn any desk into a standing desk as well as getting that perfect height for you.

Customization and variety of products is where Flexispot truly shines. You can get a desk for any purpose and customized just to your needs. I highly recommend taking a look at Flexispot next time you’re looking for a new desk.
