WhiteShark MIX
If you’ve ever been snorkeling and love the feeling of skipping through the water like a dolphin, you’re going to love the WhiteShark MIX. Described as “the world’s smallest water scooter,” China-based Sublue Tech designed a powerful underwater dual propeller system capable of reaching speeds up to 3.45 mph.
Whether you want to swim, snorkel, or dive, the WhiteShark MIX reaches speeds of “professional swimmers” and is a super compact aquatic system. With each propeller capable of a propulsion force up to 8.83 lb/foot (total thrust of 17.66 lb/foot), users can explore the depth of the ocean or cruise around the pool seamlessly. If you add a pair of fins into the mix, you pretty much have the perfect combination of both power and aerodynamics.
As someone who loves the ocean but lacks the swimming proficiency to explore with confidence, this is the perfect gadget for me. If you’re like me and love snorkeling but can’t Mermaid their way to explore the depths of the ocean, the MIX may be for you.
Sublue designed a rather innovative underwater propeller system that only requires you to press two magnetic switches on hand grips to get started. Stopping the dual propellers is as simple as letting go to either one of the switches.
If you’re interested in capturing your water adventures in 1080p resolution, the WhiteShark MIX comes with a GoPro mount. Whether you want to edit, replay, or share – the intuitive GoPro companion app will showcase your aqua exploration in HD quality video.
Designed with safety in mind, the MIX is engineered to power through choppy waters and has a depth range of 130 feet. Eliminating any safety issue, Sublue put a mesh around each propeller ensuring swimmer safety at all times.
The device also stays buoyant in water so you don’t have to worry about dropping it and having it be swallowed up by the big blue. A leash is also included for if you want to go without the floater, again to prevent you from losing the device in Davy Jones’ Locker.
Backed by FCC and EC certificates of compliance, the MIX has met all safety requirements in its category. Equipped with a special buoyancy design, the MIX will float on the surface of the water as soon as you release the power triggers.
As for the battery technology, the WhiteShark lasts up to one hour in the water and comes with a battery status indicator – alerting the user of when it’s time to recharge its 160 WH battery.
The Sublue WhiteShark Mix is available for purchase on the official website for $459. Other Sublue products, like the WhiteShark Mix Pr and the Navbow are also available on the site.
